Hair off to Help For Teagan!

Some of you may have already heard of Teagan Appleby's story or may have seen it in the news recently I have been friends with her mum for over 10 years.
Teagan suffers from a very severe case of epilepsy where she can seizure up to 300 times a day. In April 2019 she started using a medication that isnt yet available here in the UK and it has changed her life. Teagan has gone from having hundreds of seizures a day to just a handful. This isn't the only improvement. Teagan has re-learnt skills doctors never thought she would get back. Her quality of life has dramatically improved
but, the NHS will not prescribe this medication even though it is now legal here in the UK. It is costing Teagan's parents £2500 per month and it's a struggle every month to find this amount of money.
I have decided to have my long hair cut and donate the hair to The Little Princesses Trust who will make it into a wig for a child who has lost their hair due to cancer treatment. As I am planning to cut 16 inches off which is the amount needed to make a long hair wig for a teenager. I love that my hair will go on to have fun at parties and help a teenager gain confidence.
I'm also hoping to raise some money to put towards Teagan's medication costs. I have added some photos so you can see how long my hair is at the moment.
