Urgent Help Needed for Family Caught in Life Storm

Donation protected
Our friends Sue and Bill are in dire straits.  They and their family have suffered multiple challenges over the course of their 35-year marriage, but health problems have snowballed since the summer and have now reached a life-threatening point for Sue.

This crisis could not have come at a worse time, because Bill’s job was eliminated this year.  He had been unable to secure a new position until just 2 weeks ago. As a result of the many medical and living expenses, their entire savings have been wiped out.

We humbly ask that you pray for them as Sue needs a miracle of healing. Their family seeks the Lord’s deliverance and mercy from these multiple trials.

If able, would you consider donating toward their many expenses? To live, pay for  health insurance expenses, uncovered medicine and get uncovered medical care they hope will extend Sue’s life, they urgently need $26,000.00.

Read more below.

We would like to introduce you to a family with multiple challenges and needs: Sue and her husband Bill have been married for about 35 years During their marriage, they have focused their lives on caring for their elderly parents and children with significant needs. Though senior citizens now, they are continuing to raise their youngest child who needs continued care.

Few people, if any, skate through life without encountering at least one major storm or two. Much of the time these can be weathered with wisdom, perseverance and sacrifice. But sometimes the storms become so fierce and so frequent that even the best-equipped among us can't navigate them without a little help. That's what we're asking of you--a little help for our friends here..

Sue has long-standing multiple health challenges that are very costly. Sue has sought medical help to alleviate her chronic and serious health needs without resolution.  These needs have now come to a critical point as her autoimmune-impaired system is rejecting almost every food and she is malnourished. With increasing frequency, her body has rejected almost all foods. Without intervention, her system will reject those also.

Seeing specialist after specialist, the rarity of her condition, triggered by a genetic trait that disables the normal detoxification system, has left many doctors unable to help Sue.  One specialist has said there is no more treatment. She has found a doctor who does treat her rare disorder over the long term ,but treatment is expensive and most of it is not covered by health insurance.  Her needs are acute. She will not survive long without being able to eat and has lost quite a bit of weight.

An leaky sink triggered a mold problem and her body does not allow her to process and detoxify the exposure like we can.  This makes her other health challenges worse.

Bill was laid off about 6 months ago when his company relocated.  After many applications and interviews for job for which he is well qualified, it was only 2 weeks ago when he was offered a job to start in January.

Sue & Bill are at the end of their financial resources, having spent through their retirement monies just to meet basic needs.  While their church family and some friends have helped, at this point the problem is too large for just a handful of people to support.

We hope you will have a heart for this family that is struggling in so many ways and will do whatever you can to help them get through this urgent crisis.

There are some specific ways that you can help:

1.         First and foremost, pray for them.  Sue desperately needs medical help at this time.  The family trusts the Lord, the God who heals and provides.  Bill & Sue know that when God’s people pray, His hand will be seen.

2.         Be part of the community that helps the family financially.  Maybe you have connections in your town, your church, the homeschooling community, or with families dealing with autism, Mast Cell Disease, severe allergies, or Lyme disease.

If we join together, collectively we can help this family who, after years of struggle, is in a dire situation, both medically and financially.

Below are specific ways you can assist the family over the next 90 days.

1)    Health Insurance:

The insurance coverage at Bill’s new job carries high deductibles and co-pay.  If Sue is getting acute care, those co-pays will accrue very quickly.

            Amount needed:                  $12,000

2) Monthly expenses plus uncovered Rxs, special foods and supplements for nutrition

            Amount needed:      $3000

3)         Specialized treatment for Sue’s rare disorder, called Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, $3000 for evaluation and an additional $7000 for treatment. This is not covered by insurance and the provider requires full payment in advance.

           Amount needed $    10,000

 4)    Mold remediation—$1000 for testing and inspection

Amount needed:  $1000

TOTAL: $ 26,000

We know the need is great and believe the hearts of those who will read this message is even greater still.

Thank you for your prayers and love in action.
