Help for Nalu

Update **. I took her in today and they are doing a dye test and X-rays. I will be picking her up this evening and I will find out more

This is a hard thing for me to do. Ask for help. My daughter and I decided to get a puppy back in September. We ended up finding someonelocal who was selling puppies and we ended up getting one. On the day we brought her home, we noticed that we were soaked in urine from holding her. Figured she was just nervous from being in new surroundings. Got her home and noticed she was leaving trails of pee everywhere. Again, chalked it up to her being nervous and being a puppy.  I mentioned it to the vetat her first puppy appointment and was told tokeep an eye on it. Nothing got better. At her next puppy appointment, they decided to do a urine sample which ended up showing bacteria in her urine. Gave her some antibiotics and we were ecstatic she’d be a ‘normal’ pup. Didn’t work, she was still leaking everywhere. The vet tried another round. Still didn’t work. Then he decided to do a urine culture that would tell him a little more.  Found out she had a few nasty bacteria growing :-(. Well, just today, I let him know that this isn’t working and she is still leaking everywhere. She had a couple of injections left from this 14 dose antibiotic that I had to bring her in daily for. He let me know we need to stop injections and get another culture done on Monday to see if the bacteria is gone. He said if it’s gone, that means she has a defectivesphincter that we will have to do X-rays on to verify  and then we will figure out where to go from there.

Even though we have only had this pup since September, she has become a part of our family and my daughter and I can’t let her go. I am at my wits end financially with this situation. We are currently trying to get our money back from the lady we purchased her from but she’s not being too caring about it. I have more than doubled the amount off what I paid for her in vet bills and diapers (which the poor girl has rashes from now) alone.

My veterinarian actually told me about this site and I figured I would give it a go. I don’t qualify for the care credit. I would greatly, GREATLY,appreciate any help!  We can’t lose this dog and I cannot wait for her to get to love a normal, healthy dog life!

Thank you!
