Help for Jenn Rogers

Cinda’s life didn’t start out well.  She was used as “bait” in a dog fighting ring until the police broke it up and rescued her.  In bad shape, she needed surgery to fix her ear and hip.  The Oregon Humane Society was gracious enough to do the hip surgery gratis, and Cinda found her forever home with Jenn Rogers.  Life was good for the next three years.

A week before Thanksgiving, a 5 pound tumor was removed from Cinda’s spleen (along with the spleen).  The surgery went well and Cinda went home.  A little over a week later, her incision ruptured and Jenn found Cinda with her organs outside of her body.  Cinda went in for two more emergency surgeries, where they ended up removing part of her intestine that had been damaged by the evisceration.  It was touch and go for a while as Cinda was not healing.  She spent six days in the DoveLewis ICU.  Luckily, the story has a happy ending and Cinda is home recuperating.

Jenn’s story is not quite as happy.  The vet bills are over $14,000 and she is planning to sell her car to help pay them.

If you’ve ever loved an animal, you know that it’s impossible to not do everything you can to help them.  Jenn told me that Cinda had been through so much, she couldn’t give up on her.

Jenn is a wonderful person and would do anything for anyone.  Please help if you can.

Thank you.
