Help for Firefighter Kevin Harris and Family

My name is Emily Carlsen and this fundraiser is organized on behalf of Kevin Harris and his family. Kevin is hospitalized, battling the severe effects of COVID-19. The funds from this gofundme fundraiser will directly support Kevin's family with everyday expenses related to his COVID-19 illness and recovery. Please consider showing your support.  
   
Kevin is husband to Tanya, and father to two sons. He is currently a Firefighter-Paramedic with Hernando County Fire & Emergency Services, where he has served the Hernando County community for two decades.                                                                                                                                                                                                                            
Late in May 2021, Kevin tested positive for COVID-19 and his health deteriorated quickly. Soon after being admitted to the hospital, he was placed in the ICU and intubated. While in the ICU, Kevin suffered blood clots, stroke and neurological emergencies. Recently, Kevin was extubated, however, he remains in the ICU and continues to face neurological challenges. The doctors at the hospital are hopeful, and when it is deemed appropriate, they plan to discharge him and he will continue his recovery in a rehabilitation facility.  While the medical team is hopeful, the duration of Kevin's illness and recovery is unknown at this time.
