Supporting family of Orlando Alvarez

Coach Orlando Alvarez was a caring, generous person who dedicated so much of his time to improving the lives of our children.  He was an excellent teacher, and he made soccer a positive part of the their lives, always using kindness and encouragement.  The whole Lonestar community of parents and players is deeply saddened by his death at such a young age.  We will miss him tremendously.

We are establishing a fundraiser to help his family in this difficult time, including his daughter who many of our kids played with on the soccer field.  We want to show our gratitude for all wonderful things he did for our kids.

Required info about the fundraiser: 
I am a parent of a girl who played for Orlando Alvarez for 4 years. This fundraiser reflects a consensus among a large group of parents about how to assist Orlando's family.   The goal of the fundraiser is to provide his surviving family with help covering expenses in this difficult time.  
All funds will be given to his family, namely his wife, Leslie.  She will be the sole individual who can withdraw the funds.
