This is Eli, My Dad.
On October 4th 2020 he was physically Assaulted which Caused him to have a Seizure and sent him to the Hospital with A fever of 103 a brain bleed, Broken Collar bone, cracked ribs and Bruising on his chest, side and lower abdomen and while there they found he had a serious infection in his blood. He was Life Flighted to Columbia Mo where he had been in Neuro Critical Care fighting for his life... Currently he has been Moved to a lower level of care as his Brain has stopped bleeding and he is in a little better condition. He is now doing physical Therapy to help Him walk, and work on rebuilding his motor skills. His personality has changed and he appears to come in and out of Delusion and when they put me on speaker phone to talk to him he is at first really scared, then he sings and hums and then he forgets who he is speaking to. I got a phone call today and they stated that he has to be moved to a more permanent healthcare residence due to his health and mental state and him now needing a walker. But in order for him to be there I have to pay $950 to hold his spot till he can get well enough for transport. Myself and my family have Exhausted our means at this point, and would greatly appreciate any help that we can get! We are hoping he will get the care that he needs and we ourselves can not give him. There are 2 options for Care and one of them is Hours away but will not cost to hold his place, the other is closer to home but there is a lot of others that are trying to get in there as well, So in order to keep him close we have to hold his spot....
