Help for Dante’s surgery

Update: I called another vet and got a better price quote of 1100-1350. I have edited the goal amount. His surgery is now moved back one day to Thursday 3/5. Thank you all that have been able to help and understand.

Dante needs to have 5 bladder stones removed. I am heartbroken because I found out the cost is $3k to get the procedure done. This will be his second time for this issue. 

He is otherwise healthy and for those of you that know him, a pretty cool cat! He’s my snuggle buddy, he’s as friendly as the dogs, he loves to eat hair (he’s weird, too).  He’s only 9 years old (turns 10 in July) and I can’t see euthanizing him so young, but it is a lot of money I just don’t have. I’m actually bawling my eyes out typing this- asking for help, which is something I’m too proud to ever do. I hate asking for help but I hate the thought of having to euthanize him.

We can’t just put the surgery off until later. It’s a life-threatening type of problem in male cats. Ultimately he will not be able to pass these stones and will be in a lot of pain- and will die without getting them removed. He’s currently scheduled for surgery on Wednesday 3/4.
