Help for Candice Bombardier after her Condo Fire
Donation protected
The past few weeks have been the worst for my sister Candice.
She had a skiing accident and fractured her knee and had to have surgery, she had tibial plateau surgery to which she had a plate and 6 screws placed.
Candice was on a working visa in Canada and was due to return home a week before Christmas.
After her accident and her surgery she was told she could not fly home to Australia until she had clearance from her doctor and that would not be for at least 6-8 weeks. This meant she had to get a temporary visa and due to her knee she could no longer work.
This itself was a huge issue as she still had to support herself and have enough money to get home!
But a week after her surgery the most unimaginable thing happened.
On Friday the 20th December my sister's Apartment building caught fire, there was extensive fire, smoke and water damage to the apartment and her and her roommate have lost almost everything.
Candy is recovering from surgery, is in brace and cannot walk and she has lost all of her possessions.
Thankfully, due to their generosity, Candy was taken in by her roommate Lindsay's parents.
People have been very generous and kind, and she has already received donations of clothes and other immediate necessities, but what she really needs is funds to keep her afloat and pay for accomodation until she can return home.
I am hoping we can raise enough money to help Candy get the things she needs and finally return home!
