Help for a Beloved Friend

Donation protected
My close friend, Kenny Eckler, was one of the kindest and most selfless individuals that I (and many others) ever had the privilege to know.  He always cared about others first and himself second.......truthfully.  He was always there to lend a hand when needed and was always one to make us laugh.  As teenagers, we would meet at the schoolyard every day where we would spend much of our time blaring heavy metal, playing hacky sack and throwing back some cold ones.  When he wasn't doing that, he was jamming on his guitar or doing some crazy tricks on his BMX bike.  We also shared some amazing life experiences together too.  Between cliff jumping, shore trips, fishing and moshing at a Metallica concert, we were always together.  He was truly like a brother to me and to many others in our crew.

As many friendships often do, time and circumstances separated us both.  We no longer saw each other every day.  We began to see each other every couple of years.  As more and more time wore on, things began to get more difficult for my once enthusiastic and selfless friend.  The disease known as addiction took him over and he would never be the same again.  Just recently, my brother Kenny lost his fight with the disease and is moving onto a new life to meet his mother and father in Heaven.  Kenny is survived by his sister Debbie, his brothers Dave and Bill and the many others that had the privilege to share some wonderful memories with him.  Although it hurts to write this, I also know he's in a better place.  Rest easy my friend until I see you again.  I love you Kenny!

Unfortunately, the family wasn't prepared for such a tragedy (as most aren't) and his sister Debbie and I need your help to raise money in order to bury Kenny with dignity, alongside his parents.  We'd also like to have a memorial service to pay our respects and offer a final farewell to our good friend.  The costs haven't been calculated yet but, if we reach or exceed our goal, any leftover money will be donated to a charity on Kenny's behalf.  He would've liked that.  Please do what you can.  No amount is too small.  Thanks and God Bless!!!
