Help Fionn Get Top Surgery

Hi! My name is Fionn O'Shea and like many trans people all over the world I have no access to publically funded trans healthcare. 

In Ireland and in the UK I have faced administrative and psychiatric barriers to healthcare that leave me only two options: wait years for treatment while navigating a medical and psychiatric culture that routinely dehumanises trans patients, or seek treatment privately.


I waited so long to start hormone therapy, and when I did start it, privately, in 2019 it changed my life. I can not afford to wait five years for top surgery. I can not lose any more years of my life to fear and dysphoria.


I want to ask you to help me raise the money to pay for top surgery privately. Top surgery would change my life in ways I can barely allow myself to dream of: I want to swim, and I want to be comfortable in my own body; I'm too hot not to be able to wear my shirt unbuttoned.


My aim is to go for top surgery with Dr Lubomir Lembas in Warsaw, Poland. 


Overall, top surgery with Dr Lembas will cost me about €5000. €3000 for the surgery, and then €2000 for the flights, accommodation, and transport.


Anything you can donate will help me get closer to my goal of having top surgery in 2020. What you give will change my life. 


Healthcare should be a right enjoyed by all trans people. I guarantee you that every bit of help you give me now, I will repay to my trans community for years to come until each of us can safely transition.

Fionn is transgender man, originally from Ireland, who currently lives in Glasgow. He volunteers with the Small Trans Library helping to organise reading groups, writing groups, and offers advice to those seeking trans healthcare. In 2019 he helped establish a branch of the Small Trans Library in Glasgow and has helped numerous trans Glaswegians access hrt, as well as providing them community space in which to organise and socialise.


He is an avid zine-maker and hot theorist, a pansy and a Peter Cushing fanatic. He is a lover of goth aesthetics in both the sub-cultural and historic senses. Every one of his friends love him dearly, and they want this surgery for him very badly - so donate already!
