Thank you for your time and interest in The Curio- Art, Ale & Oddities. The Curio will be housed in the iconic art deco building located at 110 Lisbon Street- Lewiston, Maine. It is the old Lamey Wellehan built in 1936 after the first building was destroyed due to fire. Our team has been busy renovating the whole building and excited to share our progress.
The Curio will be a community hotspot for local art, food, beer and oddities. There will be a lunch cafe serving soups, salads and sandwiches to meet all your noon time break needs. As well as, a small tapas menu during our many events and evening hours. Besides the tasty treats we will be creating in house we will be offering a range of coffee, tea, wine and beer.
Are you looking for something a little different than your average sports bar? What about our baby grand piano- do you know any show tunes? How about our jumbo screen projector- where we will be highlighting silent vintage films, art films and locally produced documentaries. Sit at our large community table where you can strike up conversations with your neighbors and make new friends.
After eating on the main floor, pop downstairs into our BUY LOCAL art and artisan retail area. We will be highlighting over 20 local artists. Items will range from art prints to frame pieces of art, screen printed t-shirts and custom clothing line to hand selected vintage garments. We will be showcasing jewelry created by 4 area artisans. Along with vintage housewares, books and oddities you just might not find around here. Need a card or gift stop by on your break from work. We will have you covered!
If that is not enough, stay for a workshop where you get to create custom pieces while sipping a beer. You can also sit and listen to one of our many art talks or events.
All of this will be spread throughout 2.5 stories you get to explore. Take our spiral staircase up to our mezzanine. Where you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee while you watch people walking about our growing art district. The mezzanine will be available for private parties and events as needed.
This process has been a huge under taking. With the building being vacant for so long it required a lot of love and a little more work than we anticipated. . The three of us have enjoyed this process immensely, but can use your help! We have been 100% self funded on this project. No banks or investors just our hard work and love of our downtown. As the date moves closer to us opening we have a few more projects to wrap up.
We love our community and love all the help we have received so far. We took our time to create some great perks to show you how much we really do appreciate all the love and support.

$25- A Curio uv and water proof sticker- show your support everywhere you go!
$50- sticker and a super soft Curio screen printed t-shirt.
$150- sticker, t-shirt and a beer club membership. This includes: a 20 ounce beer for the price of a pint, 20% off food (when a beer is purchased) and first pick at tickets for private events.
$400- all prizes, deals and discounts offered above plus, a surprise custom piece of local art or jewelry we will be offering in the shop.
$1500- The Criterion- everything listed above plus, 1 private silent film showing for you ( up to 8 people) The first beer and popcorn is on us! These showings will be available Sun, Mon, or Tues evenings at 7pm. The bar and kitchen will be open for additional treats.
$5000- The Deity- Man, you saved us and we love you for it! This is our high rollers package. (Will only be available to the first 2 donations of $5000.) Everything listed above plus, a chef's choice appetizer and cocktail hour. This will include the chef's choice of house made appetizer for you and 11 of your favorite humans. The menu will include a beer and wine paring, 6 different appetizers and 1 dessert. It will be held on our mezzanine over looking the cafe. The bar will be open for additional beverages.
