Hi there everyone,
First off, my sisters and I want to take this moment to thank you even for coming to this page. What we’re asking is no easy request, but we knew that, if we asked, our community would respond.
My father has spent the past few decades on a physical and cognitive decline due to having Parkinson’s. Most recently, it has progressed to a stage where he needs round-the-clock care for eating, moving, every aspect of living. He cannot physically do anything on his own anymore. Up until this point, my mother has been able to handle most of these duties, with the gaps being filled in with home hospice. I say “up until now” because she has recently taken a fall herself and received a shattered kneecap and broken nose.
Now restricted behind a walker and a cast for 6 weeks, she is also housebound and unable to drive, much less care for my father. This is the part where you come in. I know that the both of them are deeply loved and held in the highest regard by anyone that’s met them. The monetary figure requested here seems like a great deal of assistance, but this is the figure that would either provide 6 weeks of 24 hour care for my father or would alternatively finance his temporary stay in a hospice nursing home while my mother heals.
Anything at all that you could donate would be deeply appreciated and would go so far in improving the quality of life for the both of them. Truly, every little bit helps and any size of donation is appreciated. ❤️
