Help Feed the Marin Treks Animals

Marin Treks has been the cornerstone of natural history and science education for Novato, as well as Marin County, since 2007. With the COVID-19 shelter in place orders, Mr. C. is unable to teach his amazing hands on natural history and science classes and programs, or take the local children on adventure camps during the school breaks. Thus, there are no funds coming into the business to pay for the animals food, supplies, housing, and care.
The funds you donate will go directly to animal care to pay for daily food, supplements, water treatment, heating needs, supplies, housing, and medication. The Marin Treks Natural History Museum houses 27 snakes, 20 Leopard Geckos, 6 Bearded Dragons, 4 Crested Geckos, 10 tree frogs, and 6 tortoises and is licensed and inspected by the Marin Humane Society. Housing, feeding, and meeting the heating needs of these animals is extremely costly and runs approximately $5000 per month.
These animals are part of the Marin Treks family as well as Mr. C's own family. Some of our animals have been with us for over 10 years and are very loved not only by us, but also by also by many of the children, teachers, and parents who have gotten to know them over the past 13 years. We want to ensure our beloved animals have their basic needs met daily. We are asking for donations immediately to help keep our wonderful animals.
