Help family of 8 children escape the war in Gaza

My name is Ramzi Hijjo

and this is an urgent call for help to evacuate my family from the war. My wife and 8 children. We have fled our home in Khan Younis and are living in the Rafah camps all of us sharing one tent. We have lost everything. Our home has been completely destroyed. We have nothing left. Our home was a our safe haven where we would gather with our family and have spent our entire lives there making beautiful memories generation through generation.

this home is now nothing but rubble.

My parents, wife, 8 of my children and I are all sharing one tent.

The only belongings we have remaining are the matts, blankets and clothes we left with as we evacuated. Each of us carried a blanket and a pillow with few clothes and documents as we made way to the refugee tents.

My youngest child is just over a year old and my eldest is 15.

My parents both suffer from terminal illnesses as well as diabetes and blood pressure and my mother has terminal issues with her kidneys. Neither of my parents have received medical treatments nor medication since the beginning of the war.

My children are traumatised and hungry. How do you explain to a 1 year old the circumstances they are experiencing? How are we supposed to care and nurture and protect 8 children in these conditions with constant threats of invasions of Rafah? The only food we receive is the occasional aid that enters Rafah and we ration it between the 10 of us. Neither are the children as they are all exuding severe signs of anxiety and PTSD. The hunger and physical ailments alone are bad enough let alone all the turmoil of the war in the cold winter.
