2nd Annual Mollie Mook-Fiddler New Plays Festival

Tax deductible
When we lost Mollie in late 2016, we knew we wanted to do something to keep her alive in our hearts. In mid-2017, we established The Silverton Theatre Mine as a non-profit organization dedicated to what Mollie loved so much. Thus, the Theatre Mine exists to advance joyful creative collaboration in Silverton and beyond. We seek to work with, promote, and support artists and other arts organizations to share our love for live theatre.

In June of 2018, we hosted the first Mollie Mook-Fiddler New Plays Festival in Silverton . To help make it happen, several donors offered housing for our guest artists; the wonderful Grand Imperial Hotel graciously provided the venue for our public presentations; and our volunteers contributed countless hours of hard work. Over four days, we offered public presentations of over a dozen new works, including new plays by local and national playwrights read by a cast of professional and amateur actors.

In June of 2019, The Mollie Mook-Fiddler New Plays Festival -- "The Mollie" -- returns to Silverton

Our operations are volunteer driven, passion-fueled, and we operate on a lean, modest budget, so every dollar really helps! If you can only contribute a few dollars, please know it will make a difference. We're grateful for even the smallest donations, and they all add up. THANK YOU!
