Help evacuate a Mother and 3 daughters from Gaza

My name is Azeezah Khan, my husband Mohammed Shurrab is from Gaza and many of his family members have been displaced from their homes due to the war. We are raising funds for his elderly Aunt (Saa’idah Shurrab) and her three daughters (Hind, Maymoonah, and Hafsah) who are currently displaced in Rafah, to evacuate to Egypt.

They were living in Gaza City but when their home was bombed they moved to Khan Younis. However, after Khan Younis was raided they were forced to leave again. They have lost everything and are currently residing in a tent in Rafah with more than 30 other family members in very poor living conditions; one of whom gave birth in the tent under extremely harsh and difficult circumstances. They have no access to clean water or electricity and do not have enough food or nutrition.

The elderly mother (Saa’idah Shurrab) suffers from diabetes and high blood pressure and does not have access to her medications which is causing her health to deteriorate. She also had surgery on both of her knees last year and is struggling to walk without the required medical care.

In order to help Aunt Saa’idah and her three daughters, we need to raise a minimum of $7,000 USD for each person which will be used to cover the following:

•⁠ ⁠evacuation costs to Egypt including transport and border fees

•⁠ ⁠Temporary shelter and food

•⁠ ⁠Transaction fees for GoFundMe and to transfer funds to Egypt

My husband and I have made arrangements with Hala Travel Company in Egypt which will oversee the evacuation and we will be responsible for ensuring that the funds reach the Agency. We will be transferring the funds ourselves once we withdraw from GoFundMe providing regular updates on the family and communicating to all once they have successfully evacuated.
