Help Eva Afford Gender Confirmation Surgery

My gender confirmation surgery is scheduled for October 28, 2019, and the costs are almost covered. However, I need assistance with affording the recovery period which will be about 12 weeks long. I was hesitant to start this fund, but after having to delay it for many financial reasons, I've realized that I really do need help.
I am a young Black trans woman originally from Missouri but now reside in Brooklyn, NY. I came to New York to be closer to community and to feel safer. Since coming here, I have been able to receive proper medical care through hormone replacement therapy. Before I lived in mid-Missouri and my doctor had little to no idea how to properly prescribe me my medicine. My next step in my physical transition is gender conformation surgery (also known as sexual reassignment surgery). The surgery is very hard on the body and without proper recovery there can be many complications. Through insurance, the costs are nearly covered, but the recovery period will long and rigorous.
I have been supporting myself in the city through working for some publications as a writer and receiving various freelance opportunities as a graphic designer and actress in a few independent queer films. These opportunities have been great, but I have by no means been financially stable.
I have very recently received part-time work as Digital Media Manager for the Marsha P. Johnson Institute, a newly forming grassroots organization advocating for trans people with an emphasis on Black trans women and transfeminine folk. Even with this position and various freelance gigs I've been fortunate enough to receive, I still need financial support while in recovery. Freelancing provides income in fleeting moments due to its unreliable nature. While in recovery, I will be unable to exert myself physically going to auditions or even to the grocery store. This recovery fund will assist me in my rent payments, food costs, various medical supplies and the remainder of my hospital fees.
