In August 2009, few months after my 32nd. birthday, I was diagnosed with breast cancer (ductal carcinoma) stage III. The revealing news marked the beginning of many challenges. Facing the fears of a life-threatening disease and the issues of mortality that arise was more than enough to handle physically and emotionally.I decided to undergo a complete mastectomy, followed by chemotherapy, hormonal treatments and multiple reconstructive surgeries. We faced this challenge with a difficult financial situation while raising 3 young kids but my family and friends encourage me to finish the treatments.
Unfortunately, in february 2011 I found out the cancer came back and it had metastasized to my spinal cord. The news were devastating and I felt hopeless because there is no cure. However my husband, my little ones and my brave mother give me hope every single day and I decided to live one day at a time and believe I am being healed! I just need your help to go through this very difficult times, I am receiving a hormonal treatment that we hope will work but we are burden by the financial impact since I am not able to work and its difficult to raise three young kids on one income and without family nearby since all our family lives in Mexico.
I will need to have severals scans to make sure the cancer won't spread to any main organ, I also would like to have alternative or complementary treatments, as well as good supplements to improve the side effects.
The money collected will go towards medical bills, alternative treatments, supplements and to approach a healthier lifestyle. I would like to find a center retreat for healing.
