We had a tree fall on our home & unfortunately since we rent & were approaching the end of our lease with the plan to go month to month, we instead had this happen to us. We woke up at 1:30 am Friday to what sounded like & felt like a car accident in our house. Went to check on everyone & as soon as I open my bedroom door, I see a tree limb through the ceiling. After making sure everyone was okay, I walk in the bathroom & the entire sun roof is shattered on the floor with the ceiling & roof falling through. I could literally see outside. Luckily, everyone was and is safe but we did have to get the kids out of the home until we were able to see the damage in the morning. We’re trying to raise money to help us have somewhere to stay, get us to work & move as soon possible. We can’t stay at the home due to it not being safe, my car is out of commission & we are bouncing from hotel to air bnb’s all because of this incident. The landlords insurance company is not helping out at all right now and we’re not sure if we’ll even be reimbursed. We appreciate any & all help we receive.
