HELP Eric Michael Dreams of X-Games

Since the time Eric Michael began aggressive skating skating, in 1999, he could think of no dream greater than one day competing in the X-Games. Sadly, that dream was stripped away in 2005, when rollerblading was removed from the event entirely.

Eric wandered the skateparks for years, polishing his skills, and hoping to find a new home for his stunt skating. 

Something changed in Febuary of 2018, when Eric uploaded a video on facebook (the first trick in the video). The video quickly gained notoriety, and within a weeks time had over 1,500 shares and 100,000 views. Eric was baffled by the response, and an old thought crept back to him that maybe there was finally a place again for these flips.

Soon after the video, some friends contacted Eric that he should take his skating to France and compete in FISE, an X-Games style event they hold, with Rollerblading as the headline performance. Looking into it, Eric found that no prerequisites or sponsorships are required to compete, if he can make it to France he can finally live his X-Games dream.

Hi everyone!

I feel embarrassed to ask for money but I can't possibly make the trip on my own. The event is in 2 months time (May 9-13), and it's imperative that I order plane tickets while they're still under $1000. All said and done the trip is estimated to cost $2,500-$3,000, but I will be saving all I can to make up for the rest. Anything you can donate will be of help.

I will be documenting my training along the way. I've got a list of tricks to learn on top of general routine practice. I'm confident I've got the stunts to put on a good showing and I'm thrilled to represent our country in an event that embraces my sport.
