Help Emma get to Mexico for HSCT!

I was diagnosed with relapsing remitting MS back in 2011.
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a neurological condition which affects the brain and spinal cord and can lead to serious disability.
Instead of fighting off infection, the immune system attacks the nerves which control different parts of the body.
My MS is extremely active and has left me with a lot of permanent disability and I’ve been getting steadily worse. Since getting sick, I’ve had two beautiful children and life is tough, to say the least! I can’t take the kids to the park or for a walk. I can’t take them swimming or to the shops. In fact I can barely carry my daughter up the stairs for a nap!Without having their dad with me, I can do very little with them. It’s breaking my heart.
My dream is to be able to do all of these things and more. I want to be able to take my daughter wedding dress shopping, when the time comes and dance with my beautiful boy on his wedding day. This would be mean the world to me.
So, I am raising money to go to Mexico for HSCT therapy to halt the progression of the disease and hopefully grab back some quality of life before I get any worse!
Autologous Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant is a treatment for autoimmune diseases such as MS-Multiple Sclerosis (SPMS), (PPMS) or (RRMS), Scleroderma, Type I Diabetes, CIDP-Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy, TM-Transverse Myelitis or NMO-Neuromyelitis Optica, that has scientifically proven to halt the disease progression. Hematopoietic stem cells are used to restore the normal hematopoiesis of the patient after being exposed to high dose chemotherapy delivered to aim immunosuppression.
Sadly, this doesn’t come cheap! The treatment alone is £40,000. I will also need private MRI’s and care when I get home. I will also need to fund the flights for me and a carer to get to Mexico!
Why not get it on the NHS, I hear you cry? Sadly, this just isn’t something that is available in Scotland. So, I have to pack my bags and leave my beautiful family for 4 weeks. I know in my heart that this is the best chance of me having my life back and if you can help in any way, it would be massively appreciated. Words don’t really do it justice, what it would mean to me and my wee family!
