Help Emily with Emergency Medical Expenses

On Wednesday, April 28th, 2021 Emily Shumway was exposed to carbon monoxide poisoning in Star Valley, Wyoming. Due to the nature of the accident and being minimally responsive, she was life flighted to Salt Lake City, Utah for intensive treatment. 

In Salt Lake, Emily underwent several treatments in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber. The chamber provides high pressured oxygen which helps heal the body and overcome the lack of oxygen from the CO. With time Emily made great gains and has been discharged. She is now resting at home and continues to make improvements each day. This past month, she has continued to receive treatment and care which has brought additional healing. 

Many people were praying for miracles on Emily’s behalf and we know and are grateful that those prayers were answered. Unfortunately, Emily does not have health insurance and the medical bills are expensive. Emily has been working hard over the last month to qualify for medical emergency aid, but there are still many bills that need to be covered. 

If you know Emily personally, you know that she has a heart of gold. She is a very hard worker who is quick to serve others around her in any way that she can. She truly blesses everyone she comes into contact with.
