Help Emebet’s journey to her final resting place

Dear Friends:

It is with great sadness that we must share the unexpected passing of Emebet
Girma Engida of Salt Lake City. 

Emebet suffered a stroke during her sleep and despite attempts to save her life
Emebet passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021.

Emebet was a true friend and a loving wife of Teclu Adane of Salt Lake City.

Emebet was loved by many.

During her time in Utah, Emebet left lasting and affectionate memories on all the people she has come to meet.

Emebet loved life and was in fine health, her unexpected death devastated her
family and all her friends.

Emebet will be missed dearly.

As per the wishes of Emebet’s family and her husband, Emebet’s body will be
returned to Ethiopia for her final resting.

We have started a fund to help out Emebet’s loved ones defray the substantial
costs of international shipping and burial in her homeland.

Emebet’s unexpected death has also left her husband and friends with
considerable medical expenses.

We want to help alleviate some of the financial hardship for her husband and
friends.

It is in these times of loss and sadness when we all come together to help one
another make it through, to support people in need and to express our empathy. 

Any support you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. Please
keep Emebet and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
