Help Elyssa get better after getting hit by a car!

Last Wednesday morning at about 930 Elyssa was riding her bike around the neighborhood where we are house sitting for a church friend and she was struck by a car. She was taken to Providence ER in Everett with a severely split lip that required 11 stitches, a broken left femur right in the middle of the bone, a broken Right femur as well just above the knee, a temporal bone fracture behind her left ear, as well as a small Pneumothorax on her left lung. She was transfered to Harborview medical center as they have the only pediatric trauma care center that was close. She went into surgery at 730am the next day Thursday, and it took 7-1/2 hours to repair everything. She now has a rod straight through the femur on the left leg, and a plate on the right held in place by 7 screws. Thankfully, none of the other injuries have proven to be major in any way. As of right now she is doing well and has been sitting up in bed as well as on the edge of the bed, and has felt in much better spirits! 

We have no idea how long this recovery will be or how slow. We are asking for donations of any kind so we can make sure that her needs are met during this time!

As a sidenote to this event: our lease at our place is up end of August and the landlord is Not going to renew it, and we are in Desperate need of a place to move to! Our credit will get us denied for any normal rental application so it would need to be a private owner kind of deal. 2 bedrooms Minimum and our max is 2000 a month.
