We Need 1000 People to Donate $20.
Ellington-White CDC is a registered 501 (c) (3) non-profit community based arts organization in Fayetteville North Carolina. To stay alive, we need 1000 people to give $20 to help us match our grants, raise dollars for our after-school arts programs and support our community art gallery and other community arts initiatives, or we may have to close our doors at the end of next year.
For ten years Ellington-White CDC has been providing arts services to our community. The grants that we receive require a dollar for dollar match. These grants help fund our Discovering the Arts After-school and Summer Program to give low-wealth and at-risk-young people free visual arts, dance and theater experiences and classes provided by professional artists and arts educators.
Help us keep the doors to our art gallery open. The Ellington-White Contemporary is a non-profit exhibition space that has been exhibiting local, national and international artists for the past three years. We need new exhibition lighting, outdoor awnings, bathroom upgrades and fix the hole in the ceiling and other damage from Hurricane Matthew.
As an arts-based community development organization we depend on the community support through memberships and donations. The costs for the exhibition insurances, shipping and transporting artworks, utilities, arts supplies, printing and other expenses continue to increase.
