Help Eli Fight Cancer—So His Mama Can Be by His Side

Eli is just 15 years old, and he has already faced a battle no teenager should ever have to endure. Last year, he was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma—a rare and aggressive cancer. After months of intense treatment, he rang the bell in celebration of remission. But now, the cancer has come back.

Eli began chemotherapy again this week. Soon, he will undergo surgery followed by 5–6 weeks of daily radiation in Little Rock, Arkansas—about 3 hours from home.

And what he needs more than anything right now is his mama by his side.

Eli’s mom—my sister—is a strong, hardworking woman who has been raising him as a widow since 2019, when her husband passed away unexpectedly. She recently started a new job and is still on probation, which means she has no paid time off and doesn’t qualify for FMLA. She wants nothing more than to be with Eli every step of the way, but taking time off would mean going without income, risking bills going unpaid, and potentially losing the job she just worked so hard to get.

Our mom (Eli’s Nana) has been helping as much as she can, and we wouldn't have made it this far without her help. She has been taking him to almost all of his treatments so his mama can work. Eli wants his mom with him and his mom wants to be right there. Every step, but especially when he goes to Little Rock for radiation.

We’re raising funds to help make that possible—for Eli’s mama to take a leave from work without fear, so she can be where she’s most needed.

Donations will go directly toward:

Mortgage and utilities

Travel and gas to Little Rock

Groceries and basic living expenses

Uncovered medical-related costs

> Note: Funds will be managed with care, ensuring that Eli’s needs and home expenses are prioritized. Every dollar will go toward keeping his home stable and his mom present during treatment.

If you’re able to give—thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If you’re not, your prayers and shares mean the world to us. We believe God is in this with us and that He will provide through the love of others.

With love and faith,
Monica (Eli’s aunt) and our family
