Help Elderly Couple Clean and Rebuild

On Friday, April 2nd 2021 an electrical fire caused my parents workshop, storage shed, and chicken coop to catch on fire and burn to the ground. 

Years of collected items like Christmas ornaments my family and I made are lost, quilts my grandmother who is no longer with us made, and many other items were lost. 

Since retiring from ConAgra to take care of my mother, my stepfather Cliff has continued to keep busy by making things in his shop like chairs and tables to sell or give away. It was also his little “get away” place where he could be by himself for a bit and play with his trains. To lose that and his chicken coop is a large part of his retirement, he just loves those chickens, most he’s raised since chicks. All of his tools are gone, building materials, etc. 

They have no money to rebuild, they are on a fixed income, but my main concern right now is how we’re going to help them clean up. I’ve looked into renting a dumpster from Waste Management, but that is expensive and I know they don’t have that kind of money and unfortunately neither do I. So gofundme here we are! 

The money donated would go to first helping clean up the debris then hopefully buying or build a small new shed at least is what I’m hoping for.
