Help El Chullo Peruvian Restaurant after a fire

Donation protected
Many Phoenix residents know and love El Chullo on N. 7th St, Phoenix for their authentic and delicious Peruvian food. They are a family owned business and stayed opened during the pandemic and delivered countless meals to those of us sheltering at home. On Easter, the restaurant had a fire on the back of their building destroying all of their food and expensive restaurant equipment forcing them to shut down business.

The owners have a HUGE heart and are always willing to help without asking for anything in return. When a group of young students from Peru were stranded in Phoenix during the pandemic due to flight cancellations to and from Peru, they jumped to the rescue even though they were struggling themselves as a business. With the support of the community, they found a place for them to stay for several weeks, fed them, kept in touch with their families, and worked with the consulate to send the students back home to their families. No many people are willing to go the distance to help complete strangers.

This fundraiser is to help them pay staff while the restaurant is closed, recoup losses from the fire, and re-open in the next couple of months.
