Help Eileen and Bobby Nacchio rebuild their home.

Bobby and Eileen Nacchio are our friends and neighbors at Rossmoor. They are the most generous, kind, humble, and family-orientated people you will ever know. Bobby is a retired Navy veteran and retired NYC police officer. Eileen is a retired homemaker. They settled in Rossmoor to have a peaceful retirement and place to call home.

On Sunday, the 22nd of August, our community was hit by Hurricane Henri which caused major flooding resulting in the total destruction of many homes, Bobby and Eileen's included.

The water was so high that their nephew had to go by Kayak to rescue them. As the nephew, Thomas DeLacy, was rescuing his aunt, his uncle was trying to put a note on the door to let the Red Cross know that they were safe and they should save other people. While he was walking to the front door through the water he fell and broke his leg to the extent that the bone was protruding through the skin. He was sent to the hospital and surgery was performed. Bobby is facing several months of recovery.

To matters worse, after losing all of the contents in their home, extensive injuries, and being displaced, Bobby and Eileen did not have flood insurance because Rossmoor is not considered to be in a flood zone.

We are trying to do everything we can to help them recover during this difficult time and offer them assistance. We ask for your thoughts and prayers and if you can please donate any amount to help them slowly rebuild their retirement home and lives. Bobby is a man who spent his entire life devoted to helping and protecting others. We humbly ask for your generosity during this most difficult time.
