Help educate these orphaned young women
In the 1990s, and again in 2005, Rostrevor College brought Kubendran from Chennai, India, for craniofacial surgery. The College developed a deep relationship with Kubendran’s family. In the last 10 years, groups I have led have always connected with the family, and some have even eaten at their home.
In 2017 Kubendran’s brother passed away after a fall which lead to head injuries. The following year, his wife passed away, leaving 2 young girls. Presently the girls are being cared for by Satya, their uncle, the youngest of the 5 brothers, and he has a wife and 2 daughters of his own. The girls’ education has been sponsored by a friend of mine until now. Samyuk is currently enrolled in nursing, with only her first semester fees being paid. Anu is enrolled in a fashion course. Just a few thousand dollars will ensure these girls’ have a more positive future. I hope you can manage to contribute, with the promise that every single cent will be used for their improved lives.
