Help educate children at SOAR Inclusive Preschool

Contemporary classrooms take advantage of learning innovations. When used in moderation and with purpose, classroom technologies like SMART boards help teachers exceed the limits of conventional tools like bulletin, dry erase, and felt boards. They bring in the capabilities of a tablet while still supplying the value of more traditional visuals. Far from a passive learning experience, a SMART board creates a highly engaging and interactive platform for all students at once - hello, captivating circle time! A SMART board in the SOAR classroom can: 1. Attract and sustain learner attention. Some students struggle to show interest in what their instructors are singing, playing, or reading. If we can win a child over with responsive and/or favourite materials (cue smartboard), we can pair that interest with Circle Time activities and partners, transferring its value to time with teachers and friends. 2. Support the strengths of different learners. Many children benefit from bright and clear pictures, words, and symbols when it comes to learning. However, some of their classmates are best served by music and movement, while other learners are deeply fascinated by how things work. SMART boards provide special learning experiences for various learners with pictures, words, and cause and effect features. Teachers can enhance or minimize different features depending on the activity, highlighting the tools we need while keeping others in reserve. 3. Instantly access online resources. The internet is FULL of amazing early education tools, including songs, books, games, physical activities, short clips, etc. A SMART board puts this learning right at our little fingertips, while freeing up our teachers’ prep time.
