Help Edith Elvira Pimentel Pay for Medical Costs

Hi, my name is Maggie Walsh and I'm fundraising for my dear friend, Jose, and his mother, Edith. Edith is diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and hypertension. Her condition is chronic and has led to further health issues such as heart disease, strokes, blindness, hernias, and pulmonary edema.

Jose has taken on responsibility for paying for majority of his mother's medical expenses, as well as caring and providing for his two younger siblings. He has had to travel back and forth from New York to Guatemala to help his sick mother multiple times over the past few years. Jose is a nursing student and works two jobs as a server at local restaurant Bedford 234 and as a practice assistant at Caremount Medical. He has been incredibly selfless in using his earnings for his mother, but he needs help covering past and upcoming costs.

Edith is currently hospitalized, and needs three more operations: cataract surgery, left arm fracture surgery, and lower back hernia surgery. I am asking for donations to assist Jose in paying for them, as well as due medical bills.
