Help Earlyn

Donation protected

I’ve been asked to share someone’s story. I’m not sure if any of you remember my friend Earlyn but here she is- the most beautiful soul you’d ever meet. We talked for a long time today. She wanted me to share her story to see if maybe it changed one person’s mind about sending their child to school with or without a mask.

She was the secretary at a St Louis school who contracted COVID last December. We had many talks about how scared she was working at the school before she got sick. Many teachers/admin/students would come in the office and take their masks off- like the office was a good mask break place for them. She got critically ill and was in the ICU. You can see the changes in her chest X-rays here in a week period (she asked me to share these). She was the one we begged to keep fighting over the phone. She could hardly breath but asked how our children were doing. She was the one Eliana sang to several times while she fought for her life. Eliana sang to her tonight as well (Twinkle Twinkle Little Star). She survived. She thanks God for this and believes that she survived to share her story. She is now oxygen dependent for the rest of her life. She no longer grows hair and has to wear a wig. She has weird open sores and terrible brain fog. She also is terrified because she hasn’t worked since last November and doesn’t have enough money saved to retire. She is headed back to the school. She has recently seen multiple pictures of admin in her district maskless at big events. There have been back to school indoor events where others got COVID.

She wants her story to be heard in case anyone is on the fence about wearing a mask or vaccinating. She wants you to know that your choices regarding this virus do not only affect you. She hopes the schools will make the best decisions for the health of their students, the teachers, the staff and our communities. She also wanted to thank all of you who prayed for her when I posted about her in December- she truly believes that is what pulled her through. She tells everyone God Bless You and please think of others.

I want to add something about her- she is ALWAYS thinking of others. She always gives me parenting advice. Her goal was to start mentoring young, single moms on how to raise children who grow up to be respectful, intelligent and successful adults. ❤️❤️

I asked her if anyone from her school did anything for her. She said someone raised $174 and she got a plant. I’d like to give her more…to help her with medical bills and maybe retire sooner.
