Help Dustin Fight Stage 4 Cancer

Last week while undergoing a minor procedure to drain fluid and relieve sinus pressure, doctors discovered an aggressive tumor in Dustin’s nasal cavity.

An otherwise healthy 36 year old, Dustin has experienced increasingly debilitating symptoms over the last 5 months — nose bleeds, migraines, double vision, and extreme pain.

Despite multiple appointments and ER visits, doctors continued to treat these symptoms as a sinus issue until Dustin was finally referred to an ENT.

A biopsy of the tumor showed Stage 4a Nasopharyngeal Squamous Cell Cancer. This type of cancer typically develops as lymphoma; this version is unfortunately more severe and rare.

The mass snakes under his left eye and is too large to be removed with surgery. The center has regionally metastasized and is in the lymph nodes, though fortunately it hasn’t spread any further.

Very aggressive tumors require very aggressive treatment plans, and Dustin has already started the first of 2 chemo cycles. When this treatment is finished in 6 weeks, he’ll immediately begin 7 weeks of radiation.

We want Dustin, his wife Maggie, and their two kids, Aubrey (13) and Breydon (15), to focus on fighting, family, and feeling better. Dustin and Maggie will both be out of work for the next 4-5 months while they put all of their energy and attention toward treatment and recovery.

Together, we can help ease the financial stress of this situation for them. Funds raised will be safekept in a dedicated account managed by Dustin’s brother. The money will be used for monthly bills/living expenses like rent, utilities, and groceries, as well as for medical expenses not covered by insurance.
