Support Durango’s Circus Community

My name is Cynthia Johnson and I am fundraising to purchase more aerial equipment in the hopes of starting new classes that will be completely unaffiliated with any other circus group or organization in Durango. For now, we will be offering discounted private lessons until class options are possible. Our goal is to be able to offer affordable options for all.

We currently have two aerial silks, one lyra, aerial straps, handstand canes, and an aerial pole. This fundraiser has been set up in the hopes of buying more aerial equipment ASAP (the main priority is purchasing an aerial rig to set up outdoors for classes and performance opportunities) so that we may start offering more affordable options soon.

I have seen countless families with talented children wish to be involved in circus classes but the price has stopped them. Circus has completely changed my life for the better and I am so grateful for the passion and opportunities it has given me. I have already invested my own money into some brand new high-quality aerial equipment and it’s time to turn this program into what it should be: inclusive and affordable. I hope to gain your support so that we may grow Durango’s circus community and help it thrive the way it deserves to.

Both of us are highly qualified in safety & technique, and we were hired in this field due to those certifications, despite false claims from other people trying to prevent us from doing this.
