Help Dunbogan Caravan Park residents move home

Donation protected
Dunbogan Caravan Park was inundated with flood waters on the weekend of 20 and 21 March 2021.  18 homes belonging to individual residents as well as park infrastructure was flooded.  About 15 other homes sustained flood damage to non-habitable areas that stored washing machines and other goods.  No resident has flood insurance.  They are mainly pensioners and elderly or on disability pensions and need help to restore their homes and their lives. They are unable to afford to fund it themselves.

We have corralled volunteers to help gut the homes and to remove all the flood damaged waste.  To get them back on their feet the park owners are arranging and facilitating a funding drive to help them pay for electricians to make it safe to turn their electricity back on, plumbers to get their gas back on, carpenters and trades to help re-build, building materials like flooring and joinery, essential white goods like fridges and washing machines, and security fencing that was destroyed.

These funds will be used to  get them back home and out of crisis accommodation.  There is already a housing shortage on the mid-north coast so every home counts.  Your donations will be managed by Steve and Cicely (the park owners) and you can count on us to make every cent you donate count.  Thank you for your support.
