Help Doug & Susan Taylor

Doug Taylor, a respected retired Lieutenant from the Santa Clara County Sheriffs Office and current member of the Blue Knights International Motorcycle Organization was recently involved in a very serious solo motorcycle accident which will require hospitalization for at least 30 days.
UPDATE: MAY 18TH:
Doug has now had five surgeries and is at the beginning of a very long rehabilitation effort. Doug needs to learn how to walk again while waiting for his body to heal enough from the 5 surgery procedures that saved his life. At the Life flight site (two miles from the accident scene) we waited for at least 15 minutes before they flew off with Doug. I have been advised that they used this time to place him in a "pelvic belt"- the E/R doctor said that if the flight medics hadn't taken the time for this procedure Doug would have bled out en route to the hospital.
Thanks for your support and love.
