Help The Leidners, Their Home Destroyed In Fire

As many of you know, Donnie and Karen Leidner lost their home and all of its contents, along with their lighthouse, to a devastating fire on 4/3/21. There is absolutely nothing left and all they were left with were the clothes on their backs. We thank God that they were not home when this occurred and that they are okay, but they sure have been tested these past few years with cancer, brain tumor, major heart issues, had to put down there beloved chihuahua Itty Bitty just a couple of weeks ago and now this.

We’ve known these two incredible people for well over 15 years and have seen how they have ALWAYS been there for anyone in need, any time any place. Whether it be a place to stay, a place to hang out and play instruments and sing, a good ole fashioned meal to share with friends, or even bringing food to your home for you if you were ill. They hosted so many events/people at their home and welcomed EVERYONE with open arms, whether they knew you or not. I can’t say enough amazing things about this couple and how they would give you anything and everything they could if you were in need.

The most precious losses to them were of course their photos, needle points that Karen made from photos and their musical instruments. This couple loved to play music either sitting alone on the porch or with a group of friends.

Although they do have insurance there are things that are not covered such as clean up and taking down some trees as this area is a danger zone right now.

If you could help in any way, whether it be a donation thru go fund me, or monetary via gift cards which are a great way to assist them in getting what they need when they need it, I know that they would be so grateful. Please keep In mind that they don’t have a place to put “things” at this time.
