Help Dion get his life back

Donation protected
Hi,

I'm Dion and I'm hoping you can help me get back my independence.

The chair I am sitting on is the chair I am needing I have been assessed for it and it is suitable for my needs.

I suffer from an Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.

It is at the condition affects me to please watch this video

Please read the update at the bottom of this page unfortunately the chair has gone up in price by 3% the email is at the bottom of his page

Ehlers-Danlos syndromes are a group of conditions that include hypermobile joints and stretchy and fragile skin. This means my joints can collapse or bend the wrong way at any time and without warning, the result is extremely painful and very messy!

In addition to the above, I suffer from Arthritis, Gastro Paresis, Dissemioma, Chronic Pain and Short Term Memory Loss.

There's no cure for Ehlers-Danlos syndromes, but the right support can help me manage my symptoms and have a relatively normal day to day life.

In 2007 I had an operation to treat cancer and have been fighting a running battle with my local authority in an attempt to get suitable living conditions since then.

This has process has been hampered by the fact that I have severe dyslexia and have to have assistance with both reading and writing.

Despite being dyslexic, I managed to obtain my degree in Mechanical engineering at the University of East London.

I am want to be able to use my knowledge and skills to be able to create my own lively hood and make my own way, if I can just get the help I need to start.

I am hoping to raise funds to buy mobility equipment such as the Omeo Electric wheel chair which will enable me to move and work at the same time.

Any help you can give, however small, brings me a little closer to a normal life and for that I can't thank you enough!

Take care and stay safe,

Dion

This is a email we’ve been sending to people e.g. politicians MPs celebrities you name it everybody regarding my life story and issues I have I am extremely embarrassed to put this up but I know I’ve got to I know I’m gonna have the haters and the people do not like me.
I suppose that’s a part of modern day life. He goes

Dear Ombudsman

A 49yr old gentleman diagnosed with Testicle Cancer in 2007. Operation to remove testicle.

Radiation treatment.

Got internal radiation burns' during treatment.

He is a wheelchair user.

Has Arthritis, Double Incontinent , Gastro Paresis, Dissemioma, Chronic Pain, Hypermobility, Severe Dyslexia, Short Term Memory Loss.

He was housed in a downstairs maisonette by Bolsover Council in 2007.

In 2010 this gentlemen reported a leak from above property.

A member of Bolsover Housing Team visited, the gentleman was informed there was No Leak. It was just damp in his property .

December 2010 property above had a Mains Burst. Council workers arrived to turn off Stop Cock.

So, yes there was a Water Leak.

Gentleman provided with overnight B&B; to be told to return home the next day.

On his return to property, it was discovered there were 2 other Stop Cocks, that had not been identified thus flood happened.

Insurance never covered his losses.

Gentlemen housed in hotels for next few months.

Properties had to go gutted, replastered and redecorated.

However property not given enough time to dry out.

With in no time damp took hold in the property.

He reported it to council to be told it was his lifestyle.

He and his young son lived in horrendous conditions. Plus his son has Asthma and Chronic Eczema, causing endless health issues.

Gentlemen being vulnerable was and continues to be Bullied.

He was held at knife point, (can provide all true and accurate details). Assailant arrested, charged, found guilty and prosecuted.

Bolsover Council notified.

31/10/13 gentleman was attacked ln his own doorstep.

Can provide video evidence.

Assailant arrested, charged,  found guilty and imprisoned.

The gentleman was terrified as now he has his Young son living with him. The child was threatened on various occasions.

Gentlemen asked for immediate move for fear of being seriously injured. Bolsover Council provided B & B. Child had to be cabbed to school, then moved school as they couldn't assure his safety.

After approximately 4 weeks B & B , a 1 of  offer of Temporary accommodation was made. Hence they moved. It's a Bungalow for over 55 year olds. Gentlemen 42 years old,  child 12.

Far away from child's school and friends.

There were isolated.

Social Worker useless, and continues to be.

This Temporary Accommodation is where the gentleman lives.

His Accommodation is a Unsecured Tenancy,  however they took away his Secured Tenancy;  because he was to Terrified to stay put.

Unsecured Tenancy causes stress, for he can be made homeless on a whim.

Gentleman has a O.T Report that states his accommodation is Not Specific to his needs.

Door frames to narrow to manoeuvre his wheelchair through, kitchen worktops to High. Various other problems.

Hospital bed been provided, its in the Living Room, no room for a sofa.

Medical conditions deteriorated.

Abuse again from locals.

Has CCTV everywhere as he lives in constant fear of being attacked.

Bolsover Council cause him Stress, threats and abuse made by Council workers. He lives every day in FEAR.
