Dianna’s Fighting Stage IV Cancer

Aloha my name is Dianna DiFrenna. I’m 68 years old and I just found out I have a rare and aggressive cancer. I am not sure how to write a gofundme request, but I am going to try bc I need your help.

I’m California born and I have lived on Maui for 30 years. I am a wife of Don, mother to Kelly and grandmother to Keenan. My husband and I are massage therapists and we love serving our community. Just last week, I found out that I am facing two major medical battles. 

First, I have cancer in my uterus. The type of cancer is rare and is called uterine papillary serous carcinoma (UPSC.) My first surgery is set for July 6, 2018, and then I will have a series of chemotherapy. Please pray for me, I am so afraid!


My second medical problem is that several years ago, I had a bladder mesh sling operation, which is now failing. The mesh has dislodged and is now protruding through my vagina wall. This type of operation requires a specialist to remove the mesh and scar tissue and no such doctor exists in Hawaii, so after my cancer treatment, I will have to travel to the mainland for this surgery.

Up until 2 weeks ago, I was feeling good. We live a healthy lifestyle and have always taken good care of ourselves. This illness has hit us fast and hard. We are still spinning from the rare and aggressive cancer diagnosis. My only symptom was vaginal spotting and abdominal pain. In the last 2 weeks, we have been in a whirl of expensive tests from biopsies to CAT scans. And now we are faced with surgeries away from our home island that will require travel and hotel expenses on top of my medical expenses. 

Don and I have been married for 30 years. He is my soulmate and we are not ready for me to leave this earth! Please help us through this with donations and prayer ❤️
