Help Diana Get Her Masters in Teaching

Hello, my name is Diana Luz Morales, I have recently been admitted to UC Los Angeles School of Education where I will be pursuing my Master’s Degree in Education under the Ethnic Studies Pathway and earning my Teaching Credential. I am starting this fundraiser to help me cover tuition expenses, summer testing fees, books, and moving to LA from Santa Ana.

Last year I graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a B.A in Sociology, and a B.A in Community Studies/Latin America Latino Studies. In my 5 year journey of undergrad, I could not have made it without the immense community support and private scholarships that funded my tuition. I have been lucky to benefit from DACA as well and I’ve worked up to three jobs during my last year at UCSC to pay for school. This time around as a grad student I will be both taking classes and student teaching which means I won’t be able to take on other jobs.

I am asking community and allies to support me in reaching my goal of fundraising for tuition expenses and help me start my journey as an educator at UCLA.

I am excited to start this journey. I have been deeply shaped by my work with youth and migrant indigenous communities from Santa Ana to Watsonville and I am committed to continue building community wherever I go.
