Help Denis Berry continue her cancer treatment

Hello again friends. This fundraiser has been created on behalf of our dear Denis. I write this on June 2nd 2023 as unfortunately Denis is experiencing a recurrence and has a need for immediate continued treatment. Please see below for the most recent update from Denis. The breakdown for the additional funds needed is as follows:
Treatment at Forsythe Clinic in Reno $18,000
Travel and lodging expenses $3,000
Medications, supplements and other therapies $4000.

In August 2020 Denis received the kind of news that no one wants to hear - malignant tumors were found in a uterine exam. She received a laparoscopic full hysterectomy that month at Stanford but the surgery revealed that this is an unusual type of uterine cancer, much more aggressive than most. After weighing the odds of standard of care treatment against its effectiveness and quality of life, she opted to try several alternative treatments. Unfortunately, at the end of 2021, the cancer returned with a vengeance. A clinic offering modified chemo treatments (Denis was too weak for anything else at that point) was suggested by a doctor she was seeing. Unfortunately, these clinics don't participate with Medicare. Denis has recently finished the initial three weeks of chemo treatments, and is already feeling much stronger, but has at least three additional visits to receive more treatment and follow up. These treatments are $7000 per visit, plus travel expenses to Reno, Nevada to the clinic, hotels, meals and medications. This has been an expensive journey, using up most of her savings and Denis needs financial assistance now to continue the treatment. She has the support of her beloved partner, Sandy, her family, and many devoted friends. Her journey has reached the stage where it is necessary to reach out for help to get broader community, as difficult as that is. Thank you so much for considering a contribution.
