Help Dengming Beat Stage 4 Stomach Cancer

With a degree in chemistry, a master's in physical chemistry, and a Ph.D. in organic chemistry, our dad has dedicated a great portion of his life and career to finding a cure for different types of cancer. However, in October of 2023, his life unexpectedly took a turn as he collapsed on the subway while abroad from excessive bleeding in his stomach. He was later diagnosed with stomach cancer and liver metastases. To stop the bleeding, a gastrectomy was needed and his stomach was fully removed. He has recovered from the surgery and is now undergoing chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatment. Due to the nature of his condition and to ensure treatment in a reasonable timeframe, returning to the US isn’t a viable option. Therefore, the cost of treatment here in China, including surgery, has been paid out of pocket without their health insurance coverage. As I wrap up my master's and my sister her undergrad, we’re doing our best to support our parents.

So many of you have already reached out to ask what you can do to help - we're all feeling lost and uncertain at the moment. This fundraiser is to hopefully help alleviate some of the burden on our parents and allow them to explore all their options as they silently fight through this ordeal abroad. Anything is appreciated, and all funds will go directly towards treatment costs.
