Help Delaney Beat Hodgkin's Lymphoma!
Donation protected
When we are young, everyone is filled with light and happiness and over the years the world will test you in a variety of ways, trying to dim your light. Delaney is a 21 year old girl that never lost the bright, happy, hopeful soul of a child. She is a captivating light in everyone’s life. Despite the fate of being diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, forcing her into a world of decisions that will shape her future, she maintains a light.
Hodgkin’s lymphoma is cancer that affects the immune system so while we are all scared in this current health crisis, the threat to Delaney has become exponentially more dangerous, and yet she still calls friends and asks about their lives and tries to redefine normal with an exceptional positivity. Her Hodgkin’s lymphoma is located throughout both sides of her cervical spine, and the largest mass is at the top of her thoracic, pressing on the top of her lung above her heart. It will continue downward, but luckily she caught it before it’s gotten below the diaphragm. She will have 12 treatments of chemotherapy via port over the next 6 months, and then radiation afterward.
While her smile stays bright and full of hope, we ask you to consider making a donation to help offset the costs of her treatment and procedures to ensure that she can maintain being a beautiful presence in everyone’s lives. Every little bit helps to ensure this can be a short part of her bright story and she can move forward without the financial burden of her treatment. Whether you can donate or not please share this with your friends and we ask you to post a short story of one of the times that Delaney made your life brighter. We hope that you all stay healthy and happy at this time, thank you!
