Help Deklan's Fight- It's a No-Brainer!

Earlier this year, 15 year old Deklan was diagnosed with one of the most difficult things anyone can go through-brain cancer. He experienced seizures, which were caused by an underlying brain tumor in his left frontal lobe. Deklan has received multiple CT scans as well as MRIs, with a team monitoring him closely. He takes an oral medication daily to control his seizures.
Recently, our family was referred to a pediatric neurosurgeon. They plan to operate on Deklan Tuesday, January 26th. With less than a week away, the stresses of a major surgery, as well as the post-op hospitalization and pathology results are enough to stop an elephant in its tracks, nonetheless the costs of brain surgery!
Our parents, as well as us older kids, have been picking up numerous extra shifts to try and pull the funds together. However, it feels no amount of work will ever reach that number- it's a really sinking feeling. This is why I created a GoFundMe.
Deklan is the goofiest kid I know. Growing up, he has always loved to make people laugh. He is incredibly smart, competitive, talented, annoying-(coming from a siblings' perspective) and a supportive little brother. Deklan aspires to join the military when he is done with school. He wants to do something greater than himself and make a difference in the world. He says, "I would like to live a normal life without having to live with the fact I have a brain tumor that will restrict any dream or wish I would have. I would greatly appreciate 10 cents if it would help my family afford this surgery so I could follow my dreams and leave a big enough footprint on this earth before I leave."
We understand that with COVID-19 plaguing our world, times are incredibly tough for everyone. We wish that everyone know we immensely appreciate any donation we receive to help with Deklan's surgery.
