Help David Castellanos Kick Cancer’s Ass!

Our brother David Castellanos needs our help! As long as I’ve known David it was easy to see the kind of person he is. He is the kind, respectful, and would do anything he could to help someone. He is the type of person that would give someone the shirt off his back if they were in need. If you’ve met him then, I don’t need to tell you that. If you haven’t, you can easily see his character as soon as you meet him. Our days as partners at McCormick Ambulance we always talked about working for our dream department, Los Angeles County Fire. Over the years we have kept each other motivated in our pursuit to get hired. Even when it seemed like the odds were stacked against us we would remind one another to keep pushing through. Fast forward about 8 years and we finally get the privilege to wear the bear! David finally pushed through the fire academy and started his first spot at fire station 8! Unfortunately, nothing good ever comes easy.

Shortly after he started probation he tried to tough out some pain like most of us would do. Finally, he was convinced to go to the doctor and was told he has cancer. The cancer has spread to both his lungs, next to his diaphragm and next to his stomach. He is currently undergoing chemo therapy and has 3 more rounds to go. We all know that the guys and gals take care of each other because we are one big fire family! Any little bit helps and is greatly appreciated. I know David has and still would do anything to help someone in need. It’s our turn to help our brother out in his time of need!
