The Café/Fast Food Deli will be open 7 days a week located in Catford Mews which it is the first new multi-screen cinema in Lewisham in a generation. It will bring people together in Catford and life back into the Centre. I want to promote a healthy lifestyle offering Plant Based food with non or very little processed ingredients, using local producers, and as much as possible Organic products.
Construction work on the venue have been delayed which have made it hard to plan ahead. I have done some paid work but could not take on too much at the time and I have done some markets but have also just been able to plan some weeks ahead. Markets have been unusually slow over the Summer and I have not got paid from my working place.
So I have no savings to fund all equipment and first orders from wholesalers at the moment.
I will use funds for basic kitchen appliances like pots, pans and utensils. Some bigger items like fridges and Bain Marie. Disposable plates and cutlery (paper and wood). I would also use any extra funds to buy work clothes like T-shirts, aprons and hats for me and the employees in the future. I would also like to print menus, leaflets, business cards, ads in local magazines if possible.
As it will be a soft launch now I will use equipment from home and some borrowed and then hope to have the money to buy new ones at the end of October.
The support from you will mean a lot to me in the first months, working mainly by myself and 7 days a week for 12 hours minimum will be stressful enough and to have this business as my only income will put a lot of pressure on me.
I want to give people a great experience when they come to eat my food and buy my products and I'm already grateful how many have supported me in different ways over the last year and I hope I will feel the same after this adventure as well.
