Help Darrel & Tina Crisp

I have started this to help Tina and Darrel during this difficult and unexpected time. Everyone knows Tina and Darrel would do ANYTHING for ANYONE. Even if you didn't ask for their help, they always went above and beyond for everyone else.  To give everyone an overview.. on Wednesday 9/12, Tina went in to have an Aortic Valve Replacement. This was suppose to be a routine procedure. She only took 2 weeks off from work. During the surgery, the surgeons had complications with the placement of the artificial valve. They had to open her chest up and try to place the valve that way. Tina continued to have complications with her heart throughout the entire procedure. She was on a bypass machine for over 6 hours. A balloon pump was placed and her heart began to stabilize. Thursday 9/13 Tina's heart did not stabilize throughout the day how the surgeons wanted. The decision was made to transfer her to Vanderbilt. Unfortunately, the weather grounded all helicopters and we were unable to get an ambulance to transfer her due to the instability of her condition.  Friday 9/14 early AM hours, an ambulance became available and the nurse from the hospital rode with Tina to ensure she remained stable through the transfer. Once at Vanderbilt, the surgeons took her immediately back into the OR. While here at Vanderbilt, the doctors have told us she is the sickest patient. Tina has required all life saving machines to help save her life. Tina has proven to be a fighter and such a strong willed person. Darrel has incredible patients and a heart of gold. Many of our friends and family have asked how they can help out in such a time of need. Since Tina is in the ICU and will remain here for many more weeks, she cannot have certain things in her room due to infection risks. This will also help Darrel with things such as a room, food and other things he may need while here in Nashville. Our family thanks everyone and is truly appreciative of everyone thoughts and prayers during this time.
