Sharing in the future of Andrew Knight's Family

Donation protected

Many of you know what it means to struggle but not many of you know what it means to struggle like the Knights have struggled. This family has spent years in the fight. Andrew Knight has battled through being born with deficient kidneys. One worked slightly and the other not at all.

As a result, shortly after high school Andrew had his first kidney transplant from a living donor. Through the years, this kidney was rejected by his body and he subsequently has had three more surgeries and two more kidneys. One of those surgeries was a "no-go" because of some complications with the transplant site.

Imagine the excitement of going into surgery knowing you were about to receive a new kidney and waking up with all the pain and no new kidney.

Andrew's latest transplant surgery happened in April of 2021, when Andrew got the call again and went to get a new kidney. It all worked out and he was back doing what he loved. Enjoying his wife and family, coaching and mentoring teens on a local football team and hanging out with his fellow coaches and Life group men from church.

Andrew was the kind of man who, despite the ongoing life struggles he faced, lived life with optimism, incredible faith and a desire to see God's best develop in others! His last challenge to the team and the coaches of the Osceola Grace Eagles Football team came from Colossians 3:17 to live, breathe and act For His Glory (FHG)!  This has become the team verse and rally cry of the football team for this year and reminds us all of the impact Andrew had in so many lives.

On July 24, 2021 - Andrew was traveling with one of the coaches (a fast friend, as well) and they were in an accident that claimed Andrew's life immediately at the scene.

Now, there is a new struggle.

Andrew's widow, Danny (Danielle), has their three children to raise alone and as a result of a life of health issues, Andrew was unable to acquire affordable life insurance. Danny has a job and is a hard worker but there is a gap in what is needed and what she is able to provide. While there are various forms of assistance that will be available to her, the church still has a role we can and would desire to play in caring for this family's needs.

It is the goal of this campaign to raise funds to pay off some residual expenses and to set the children up for future educational needs. This may seem like a large goal and yet I believe with your help it can be attained and exceeded. Would you consider donating today?
